OUR CERTIFICATIONS

Théo-Bébé is proud to remain true to its values ​​by offering you natural, eco-friendly and safe furniture! Our certifications are there to prove it. All furniture in contact with babies (beds, cradles, changing boxes with chest of drawers) are tested by independent laboratories (Pourquery Lyon, and FCBA) to be sure that they pass the tests of the following standards: NF EN 716 (2018), NF EN 12221+A1 (2013), NF EN 1130 (2019). All Théo-Bébé furniture doors are equipped with soft-closing door hinges and drawer slides. This allows for a slower closing, without noise or risk of pinching fingers for toddlers. 
 
Regarding the carbon footprint, we have obtained the Eco Impact B Label which measures the ecological impact of the furniture tested, production and marketing. To protect the oceans from plastic and other waste, we only use cardboard and paper for our packaging, which is 100% plastic-free and 100% recyclable. We use solid wood, ensuring that it comes from wood that is not a species in danger of deforestation: Mindi (melia azedarach, neem tree) whose felling is officially controlled and managed, verified and certified by SVLK Indonesia.
 
Théo-Bébé furniture is probably the only rattan baby furniture that meets French and European standards regarding child safety. Practical and prolific, rattan is a sustainable natural fiber whose existence is not threatened. Rattan allows local people to live in the tropical forests in which it grows, keeping the ecosystem alive and providing an alternative to the high level of exploitation of these forests. ​ For panels, we prefer to use MDF rather than chipboard because it releases much less formaldehyde (which is naturally contained in wood): 4.1mg/100g (tested by an independent laboratory), which is much less than that corresponding to European standards (maximum 8mg/100g). Our MDF comes from sustainably grown hevea (rubber) trees.

Théo-Bébé uses water-based paint and varnish, non-toxic and without solvent or fumes. Your baby is protected, as is your family and the planet. Thanks to the quality of its materials, Théo-Bébé has obtained LABEL A for air quality (according to the French ISO 16000 standards for air quality analysis, tests carried out by an independent laboratory.  All this gives us made it possible to obtain A certification for the quality of emissions into indoor air.
